x6tence overhaul Galaxy squad

x6tence Galaxy have been depleted to just two members as the organisation look to restructure the team, it has been announced.

André "⁠BARBARR⁠" Möller, Gustav "⁠ZINKEN⁠" Björk, Linus "⁠Bååten⁠" Andersson, and team coach Alexander "⁠rdl⁠" Redl have all been shown the exit door over what x6tence described as "a series of internal problems."

According to the Spanish organisation, the issues began when some of the team members expressed their belief that ZINKEN and Bååten were not performing at the necessary level. This is understood to be the reason why Fredrik "⁠freddieb⁠" Buö and Alfred "⁠RuStY⁠" Karlsson had been playing for the team as stand-ins in recent weeks.

BARBARR and two other players have been released by x6tence

Despite all the issues, x6tence explain, the management still gave the team their backing, but as results failed to improve, it was decided that the project would be put on hold, with only star duo Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson and Nicolas "⁠Plopski⁠" Gonzalez Zamora remaining under contract with the organisation.

Until the future of the team is decided, the pair will be allowed to continue to compete, provided that they do not represent any other organisation, x6tence say.

Unveiled by x6tence in September, x6tence Galaxy most notably reached the semi-finals at DreamHack Open Winter after coming through the open qualifiers. In Jönköping, the team beat LDLC and Complexity in the groups before losing to Bravado in the last-four stage.

With these departures, x6tence Galaxy now have:

-dennis +nawwk I wouldn't change the rest. GTR is playing the support role, and he's not bad at it really. Plus, you shouldn't that big of a change, let the players slowly build chemistry, don't just change 2 players. That will kill it. Besides, Plopski plays different roles and positions than GTR. REZ is more close to what he actually does, but REZ is arguably better.

I mean yeah that’s how contracts work. An org signs a player and a gives him a salary in exchange of representation of the org. Why would any org let their contracted players represent any other org? Would you argue that Messi should be allowed to just tomorrow go play football for Real Madrid and expect Barcelona to be fine with it because “they don’t wanna hold him back”?

It is not the same. x6 no longer has a roster, they cannot compete with their own teammates, and they cannot participate anymore in the tournaments/leagues they were playing ( I assume this, since they no longer have a 3man core ). The players cannot play with other people in qualifiers or shit unless it is some random mix team. x6 could potentially never get a roster back, and it could take months of trying and in the end failing. So why keep these players back if there's a chance of them not playing again? They should let them play for other orgs as a stand-in, or at least until they get a roster back. I don't say they just should let them, but just not straight telling them not to. You're just holding players back from competing entirely
