WESG Finals reaches playoffs

The organisers of the WESG Finals have revealed the match-ups for the Round of 16 following the end of the round-robin group stage.

The draw for the Round of 16, pitting group winners and runners-up, produced a mouth-watering clash between two teams who made the podium last year as reigning champions fnatic will lock horns with Russia.

MIBR, the red-hot favourites to win the gold, have been drawn against Viva Algeria, who caused the biggest upset of day two after knocking out Chiefs, while G2 will continue their campaign against the ex-CyberZen squad, who joined Panda ahead of this event.

MIBR will take on Viva Algeria in the first round of the playoffs

OpTic have been handed what could be a tough tie against Alpha Red, who looked in form in the group stage, and Windigo will play Furious in what will be a clash between two players that we recommended fans to keep an eye on, Valentin "⁠poizon⁠" Vasilev and Luca "⁠Luken⁠" Nadotti.

Yes i see game,and see previous against brazilians,whey lose beging of game too,after comeback win. With chinese they do same,but lose. If worldedit not miss 100shots in 1st half on overpass, Russia should win. They play against tier2-3 cinese team, all chinese is active players, hooch,seized is inactive,worldedit just start play after 1 year inactive, dosia is bad at 2 last years. And they just mix who plays for fun. And u even dont understand it))) and i dont see a reasons why teamrussia cant win against Fnatic.

So? Top 8 is pretty much gonna be the expected 8 at the end of the day regardless (except for the Absolute vs TNC matchup but 7/8 isn't bad) so who cares. Doesn't make a difference in terms of prize money if you made top 16 or went out top 32. People are getting so mad about something that makes no difference.

I will not bet on fnatic the chance of upset is too high Valiance x AGO i dont watch this games i put valiance because the last results, they won easly vs optic. Windigo can suprise MiBR and the brazilian lineup dont show nothing special but windigo its very dependent of poizon, and for the last game the japanese team will be like kamikazes and this can surprise g2.
