NiP best MIBR; Astralis seal 5-0 record over FaZe

Ninjas in Pyjamas beat MIBR on Train, 16-13, pushing the Brazilians to a 0-5 record, while Astralis kept their slate clean in the group stage with a 16-13 victory over FaZe on Dust2.

Astralis won the first pistol round cleanly against FaZe on Dust2, but they were unable to follow it up despite Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander killing three players in a 1vs3 before the bomb exploded. Astralis then made it 2-1, but a triple by Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács with desert eagle headshots kept both teams tied. FaZe then took the early lead, 5-2, after the game started to settle, but the Danes tied it back up after ten rounds. Once again, FaZe were able to give one last push taking the last four rounds to close the half 9-6.

Astralis made it a 5-0 record after defeating FaZe

Astralis then took the T-side pistol round, and tied it up against two forcebuys, 9-9, as Nicolai "device" Reedtz was able to win a 1vs2 on the second one. Both teams then stayed neck and neck, but it was finally the Danes who were able to close it out late in the match, edging past their opponents 16-13.

MIBR, who came into Train with a 0-4 record, were able to take the first pistol round on the defending side, going on to take an early 3-0 lead before Ninjas in Pyjamas could reply. The Swedes then won another round before MIBR linked three more to make it 6-2. On the attacking side of Train, Ninjas in Pyjamas were able to turn it around, winning the half 8-7.

NiP were able to win Train over MIBR

Doubles by Fredrik "REZ" Sterner and Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson gave Ninjas in Pyjamas the second pistol round. On the easier of the two sides on Train, the Swedish side started to snowball, taking a 12-8 lead after four rounds. It was then that MIBR started to wake up, going on a streak and bringing it back to 12-12. The home team were unable to mount the comeback, though, as the Swedes got up to match point, 15-12. MIBR were able to put one last round on the board, but then lost to a pistol buy for a final score of 16-13 going the way of Ninjas in Pyjamas.

I honestly think in csgo looking at Round difference over 5 maps is total bs and makes no sense, wouldve much rather viewed an overtime tie breaker but whatever blast is very unorthodox format anyway

"When I play with Stewie and tarik they like to move more during the round, we don't fix the setup, or we fix it, and then they move. To understand that was hard for me in the beginning, but with TACO it is really easy. We chose what we want to do, we play, he trusts me and I trust him. That how it works for us. We always create something and we always have a surprise for the opponent, so they never know which setup we have or how they need to play against us. That is the biggest impactful point during the matches."
