StarSeries Season 7 match-ups, schedule released

StarLadder has announced the initial match-ups and the complete schedule for the upcoming StarSeries event.

Kicking off Saturday in Shanghai, the StarSeries event will feature 16 top teams from all over the world. who will be squaring off for the lion's share of a $500,000 prize pool - a record fee in the history of the competition.

The tournament will begin with a best-of-three Swiss stage that will run until Wednesday, with the top eight sides progressing to the single-elimination playoffs, which will culminate with a best-of-five final on April 7 at 10:00 .

NiP will go up against fnatic in an all-Swedish clash

The pairing for the first Swiss round has produced some mouth-watering clashes, most notably a Swedish derby between fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas, and an Asian classic between TYLOO and Renegades.

IEM Katowice Major runner-up ENCE will be taking on Spirit, who will be attending their first LAN event with Leonid "⁠chopper⁠" Vishnyakov and Artem "⁠iDISBALANCE⁠" Egorov. Natus Vincere will be fancying their chances of a 1-0 start after being paired with Rogue, who will be attending the event with the line-up with which they secured qualification despite the fact that the players have gone their separate ways.
