BLAST Pro Series Global Final to feature $500,000 prize pool
RFRSH Entertainment has revealed more details about the final event of the year, which will have $500,000 on the line.
The announcement brings the total prize pool for the year to $2.25 million as the event will bring the curtain down on the season after seven regular tournaments, each one with $250,000 on the line.
The BLAST Pro Series Global Final, to be held at an as-yet undisclosed location in December, will feature the four highest scoring teams according to a point system introduced by BLAST this year.

The event will feature a single-elimination, best-of-three format, with the winning side earning $350,000 and the title of BLAST Pro Series season champion.
Seven teams are confirmed for the season, and, according to RFRSH Entertainment, they "will each play 5 BLAST Pro Series tournaments". This means that Astralis, the team with the most trophies in BLAST history to date (three), will skip two of the four events that will be held after Madrid.

Starting in Madrid, every BLAST Pro Series event will feature just five sides from this lot, who will be joined by either a wildcard team or the winner of a qualifier. The Spanish event has one slot open for an Iberian qualifier, featuring the likes of Movistar Riders and Giants.
