ex-Fragsters players part ways

The squad playing under the ex-Fragsters tag has announced that they will be pulling a plug on the project and going their separate ways.

Young Danish squad Fragsters managed some notable results in 2018, namely reaching playoffs of two DreamHack Open events, as well as StarSeries i-League S6, after which they announced that they would be leaving the organization in search for greener pastures.

Despite only two players from the 2018 lineup still playing in the squad, Jacob "⁠dragonfly⁠" Lund and Nicolai "⁠torben⁠" Amorim, they continued playing as ex-Fragsters during this year, picking up new Danish youngsters to fill the gaps

After being unable to secure a spot in ESEA MDL S31 or breakthrough through qualifiers or the Copenhagen Games BYOC, ex-Fragsters players have decided to part ways and look for different teams to find success with.

dragonfly released a TwitLonger on the matter, explaining that the faith in the team faded after Copenhagen Games, making this the best option for everyone involved:

"We've mutually decided in "ex-ex-ex-fragsters xD" to put the project on hold. It's kind of frustrating to me as I really prefer to play on an active team and improve that way rather than grinding on my own. But also, you have to share a common gameplan leading towards a common goal, and in the end, we didn't do that. Also, something that's even more important in my eyes, you have to have faith in the team and the project as an individual. Even though I really wanted to have faith and hope within it, I have to admit that as the days went by after CPH games it slowly faded and disappeared. It's sad, but at the same time, I'm sure it's the right decision for all of us to part ways now. "

The 22-year-old AWPer also mentioned that he is still motivated to play and will be assessing his options going forward, with finding a team which shares "the same ambitions and philosophy" being crucial.

The ex-Fragsters players will now be looking for new opportunities:

The entire lineup fragsters had was amazing. They were just too inexperienced, and with stavn who was only like 14-15 yo. Maybe they will remake in the future
