TYLOO qualify for ESL Pro League S9 Finals

With TYLOO taking down Lucid Dream 2-0, the Chinese squad finished the ESL Pro League Season 9 Asia second group stage undefeated and secured a spot at the LAN finals in Montpellier, France.

TYLOO and MVP PK were the favorites to advance to the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals from the Asian group, where they earned a spot together with Lucid Dream and Alpha Red. The two Thai team suffered defeats in their opening match, making the second round TYLOO - MVP PK game a very important one.

BnTeT pushed his team over the finish line on Mirage

The Chinese side managed a hard-fought victory, 2-1 (16-14 Dust2, 16-19 Mirage, 16-10 Train), to go into the last match of the group stage with six points and their destiny in their own hands.

TYLOO - Lucid Dream started on Overpass, the map pick of Kevin "xccurate" Susanto and co., but they didn't show much on the T side of the map. It was only after the switch, and with the help of the pistol round win, that TYLOO managed to secure map one, 16-14.

Mirage was a similar story, TYLOO had a strong CT side, but struggled in the second half, going down 14-13 at one point. That is when Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand clutched a 1v4 situation on A to break his opponent's bank and steal away the map, 16-14, and win the series 2-0.

 Lucid Dream K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating2.0
41 - 41 0 82.7 63.3% 1.04
44 - 42 +2 67.9 58.3% 1.00
37 - 50 -13 76.2 61.7% 0.87
35 - 42 -7 59.3 60.0% 0.80
29 - 42 -13 54.2 58.3% 0.70
 TYLOO K - D +/- ADR KAST Rating2.0
52 - 41 +11 88.4 73.3% 1.29
46 - 34 +12 80.5 75.0% 1.29
43 - 36 +7 81.9 76.7% 1.20
38 - 38 0 69.8 76.7% 1.09
38 - 38 0 67.7 80.0% 1.04

Finishing the group stage with all three wins sees TYLOO advance to the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals in Montpellier, France, which will take place on Jun 18th - Jun 23rd.

The last match of the group stage, MVP PK - Alpha Red, is still to be played, but will not have any significance in terms of qualification for the Finals.

Its a new squad, going through a lot of internal changes, with johnta coming and going, trying to figure out who will IGl, bntet or xccurate, or even somebody has IGLed once or twice. Tyoo are no where near their peak right now.

yes... so beggining through mid 2018 was their peak. After Faceit major they bombed out of starseries, the dubai PLG grandslam, and Super Nova Malta. They played hella bad towards the end of 2018,

Look forward to them beating Astralis in the final in a close BO5 final. I expect Tyloo to ban Nuke, Astralis will ban Mirage. Tyloo will pick Vertigo first and win convincingly with a 15-0 T side. Onto Inferno, Astralis choke a 13-2 CT side lead to go to OT, they win 19-15 after 4 consecutive 1v5 clutches by Xyp9x. The third map is Train, Tyloo close out a decent 9-6 T side after somebody gets a 4k in the final post plant. They win 16-6, nice. Dust II is Astralis' 2nd pick and they somehow manage to win 16-0, Tyloo fail to get a single kill. The final map is Overpass. In the pistol, BnTeT runs through monster and into the B site, knifing Magisk and Dupreeh who are both fully flashed. He then 1 taps gla1ve and xyp9x through a smoke before planting the bomb. dev1ce jumps through the smoke with a deagle and kills the other 4 Tyloo players. BnTeT runs back to T spawn and buys a decoy, he throws it into the B site just as dev1ce gets on the bomb. dev1ce, confused and shaking, comes off the bomb but with less than 10 seconds to go, the round is won. The bomb detonates as BnTeT cheekily smirks to the camera whilst making an 'ok' gesture with his hand. gla1ve initiates a surrender vote, the game is over. Captain Mo rolls onto the stage with his wheelchair and presents the trophy to BnTeT, he grabs his arse lightly. They smile at each other knowingly.
