EPL Finals race down to Ghost, Cloud9 after Americas day two
Ghost and Cloud9 are the only teams still in contention for the final Americas qualifying spot at the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals after beating eUnited and Infinity, respectively.
Day two of the ESL Pro League in Burbank began with a three-map thriller between Ghost and eUnited that began with a convincing 16-9 Mirage victory on the part of Joshua "steel" Nissan's side, who were in control for the vast majority of the game.
eUnited responded on Dust2 with an overtime victory after coming back from 12-15 down, but they were unable to carry that momentum into the final map, Inferno, where Ghost ran out 16-11 victors after a dominant T side display.

Concluding the day was a one-sided affair between Cloud9 and Infinity. The Colombian team, who had been humbled by Ghost on the first day of the group, were no match for Maikil "Golden" Selim's troops, with the first map of the series, Train, ending with a one-sided 16-2 scoreline.
The final day of action over at the Intel Esports Arena will begin with an all-deciding clash between Ghost and Cloud9, scheduled for 02:20 , with the winner of that series claiming a spot at the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, which will be held from June 18-23 in Montpellier, France.
