Vitality secure first seed; ENCE, NRG through to playoffs at cs_summit 4

Vitality have topped the group at cs_summit 4 while NRG and ENCE have punched their ticket to the playoffs.

The first two matches of day three featured ENCE and Vitality, who first squared off on Overpass. The Frenchmen had a great start on the T-side, leading 8-3 despite losing the first two rounds.

After finishing the first half 10-5 ahead, Vitality once again lost the first two rounds. But Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt and company went on a six round streak on defense to close out the match with a 16-7 scoreline. With this victory, Vitality clinched the top seed in the group.

Vitality were phenomenal in the group stage

ENCE hit back on Nuke where they picked up six rounds in the first half. The Finns' flawless 10-0 display on the CT-side gave them the 16-9 map victory over Vitality.

ENCE continued their day with two games against Ghost, the first of which was on Mirage. The Finnish squad overpowered the North American team on offense as they picked up twelve rounds. Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo's team went on to win the game 16-6.

The Finnish team almost did the double over Ghost by winning Overpass but Joshua "⁠steel⁠" Nissan and company came back from 12-5 to take the 16-14 map victory.

ENCE are through to the playoffs

Vitality then traded blows with Renegades, winning 16-14 on Vertigo and losing 13-16 on Mirage, to wrap up their group stage campaign with 24 points as they lost two games in total.

After these six games, NRG and ENCE are also through to the playoffs as their places in the top four are now secure. The final playoff spot will go to one of Liquid or Renegades, while Ghost's run has come to an end.
