NRG defeat NiP at ECS S7 Finals

A strong CT side performance on Train allowed NRG to come back in the game against Ninjas in Pyjamas and take a 16-11 victory.

An uninspired start from NRG on the T side of Train allowed Ninjas in Pyjamas to build a 5-0 lead, with Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson and Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund leading the fragging for their side. The streak was broken in the next round as Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov found a hole in the Ivy defense and eliminated three Ninjas in Pyjamas members, and NRG followed that up for a second.

Ninjas in Pyjamas didn't falter, however, winning two rounds in a row to keep their economy from breaking, at least for the time being. NRG did finally manage to force the Swedes on an eco and narrow the scoreline to 4-7, but failed to capitalize on a 4v3 post plant which limited them to five rounds on the Terrorist side.

The North American team dropped just one round on the defensive side

Claiming the CT pistol was crucial to NRG getting back in the game, and perhaps even more important was the North American side winning the 4v4 in the second rifle round after losing the first one to Ninjas in Pyjamas. That kept their economy in place and saw the score equalized shortly, 11-11.

Lekr0 opened up the following round, taking down the opposing IGL Damian "daps" Steele, still, Ninjas in Pyjamas wasn't able to capitalize on the early advantage as their B execute fell flat, without a single kill going their way. NRG continued their CT side streak from there, finishing the half with nine in a row to make it 16-11.

He's right though, REZ is the reason why they can't win anything at the moment. He is super inconsistent. And when he hitting his low form, it's a low-low, he's almost useless when that happens. Sadly this game f0rest didnt show up either which is rare.

U have no idea what u r talking about. U guys judge without even watching the game just on the basis of stats, the rounds they won, they won coz of lekro and rez's multikills. Others kept getting single kill like get right coz they played easier positions than him. Idk what happened but nip seemingly switched some positions, dennis is back to b bombsite where get right used to play. Rez is playing the hardest ct side role which is e box/ladder. More than half the times he died, it was coz he was flashed and his team couldn't counter flash and protect him, they only traded from bombsite or camera position. If u watch the game, u will see rez didn't really get outaimed by anyone, whenever he died he was flashed. He has the best mechanical aim in whole nip. Remove him from the team and see how it becomes next vp. Pls dont judge off of kd. There is more to it. Forest was plsying safe from bombsite but he didnt deliver.

The fact that FaZe actually won something this year proves that trophies don't explain a roster form.

Atleast they win something so fans can be excited about. We arent talking about what form the roaster is on and actually FaZes roaster rn is in good form

I agree on the fan excitement part, although I don't think they're in a good form yet. Nevertheless FaZe is on the right path with NEO igling.

As long as his strats working, his stats don't matter much. Similar case in navi with zeus.

You're being nonsensical. daps is a good IGL. Also, being a good leader doesn't require you to actually frag a lot. Zeus and Karrigan are there to prove that.

karrigan and zeus had at least 2 Top 5 players on their team. Also Karrigan is a better fragger than daps.

Nip really have a habit of making it hard on themselves, just thinking about the amount of times they lost an "easy" game and then have to go up against teams like astralis (and losing narrowly).
