LOOT.BET Smack My Beach Cup with $15,000 announced

Teams such as AVANGAR, Tricked, and FORZE are some of the 12 teams invited to the LOOT.BET Smack My Beach Cup, with the last four to be decided through EU and CIS qualifiers.

The $15,000 online tournament will feature 16 teams split up into four GSL groups which will run from June 18-30. Eight teams will advance to the single-elimination playoffs which will follow on July 1-9.

Twelve teams have been invited directly to the LOOT.BET Smack My Beach Cup group stage, with world's number 16, AVANGAR, headlining the list.

The last four teams for the event will be found through Europe and CIS closed qualifiers, which will be played out using a single-elimination BO3 bracket.

Copenhagen Flames is the highest ranked team in the Europe qualifier, however, Jarosław "⁠pashaBiceps⁠" Jarząbkowski's Youngsters and cats featuring Joel "⁠jOELZ⁠" Aalto and Shuaib "⁠D0cC⁠" Ahmad will surely grab some attention as well.

The Europe closed qualifier, which will run on June 8-11, will feature the following teams:

Teams that made it to the CIS Minor Closed Qualifier, such as Unique and Dracarys headline the CIS qualifier. Matches will be played on June 13-17, with the full team list being as follows:

The main tournament will feature a $15,000 prize pool, with $10,000 going to the winner and $5,000 to the second-placed team. However, an additional $2,500 is reserved for the winner of each closed qualifiers, bringing the total that will be given away to $20,000.
