Hiko to step in for ATK in Americas Minor NA closed qualifier

Spencer "⁠Hiko⁠" Martin will be ATK's fifth player in the North American closed qualifier for the Americas Minor, the 29-year-old has announced on social media.

The North American player will fill the gap left by Aran "⁠Sonic⁠" Groesbeek, who left the team last week to pursue his career in Envy.

ATK turned to Hiko for this tournament as Tyson "⁠TenZ⁠" Ngo - who has been playing for the South African side for the last two weeks - is ineligible to compete as he can only attempt to qualify with Lazarus, with whom he played in the open stages.

Hiko will fill in for ATK in the qualifier

Hiko has been without a team for almost three months following the disbandment of the Rogue line-up when his teammates were signed by other organisations.

In a recent interview with Richard Lewis, Hiko revealed that he would consider moving on from playing competitively in case he did not get suitable offers in the coming months.

The North American closed qualifier for the Americas Minor will kick off on Wednesday and will see 16 teams battle it out for six spots at the event in Berlin. ATK will compete in the tournament with the following line-up:
