ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals viewer's guide

With the ESL Pro League S9 Finals kicking off soon, we present a comprehensive viewer's guide containing information about the $600,000 tournament.

The finals of ESL Pro League Season 9 will be held in the town of Montpellier, located in the Occitanie region of France. From June 18-23, 16 teams will face off, looking to cop their fair share of the sizeable prize pool and a point towards the Intel Grand Slam Season 2, currently led by Liquid at 2 points.

Liquid will look to secure another title in France

The group stage will feature two groups of eight teams, seeded according to ESL's CS:GO World Rankings. The squads will initially navigate a double-elimination GSL bracket, witnessing best-of-one opening matches, followed by best-of-three series in the remaining rounds.

Below are the two groups:

The two teams that top their group will go straight into the semi-finals, while the second and third-placed teams take the high and low seeds, respectively, in the quarter-finals. The playoffs will conclude with the best-of-five grand final, on Sunday at 16:00 .

ikr. 3 of the world's top 5 teams not even at the event—lame. I hate how so many lans do not have all the top teams. There needs to be more organisation in pro CSGO. I don't know what the solution is but everything is a mess.
