Snappi becomes free agent
Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer has announced on Twitter that he has been released from his contract with OpTic, becoming a free agent.
The in-game leader had been a part of the North American organization since the creation of their first fully Danish roster in April 2018, when he transferred to OpTic from HEROIC alongside long-time teammate Jakob "JUGi" Hansen.
Although no official information was released on the matter, Snappi's time on the active roster came to an end between late May to early June, having helped the team win the last week of ECS Season 7 Europe before getting replaced by René "TeSeS" Madsen in time for the ESL One New York qualifier.

Snappi remained title-less in his 13-month-long tenure with OpTic, as the team was unable to live up to expectations and faced mixed results, with their best placings being runners-up finishes at DreamHack Open Summer 2018 and cs_summit 3.
The 29-year-old is now free to join another team after coming to an agreement with OpTic and its new owners, Immortals Gaming Club, to terminate his contract.
Meanwhile, the organization is also looking to divest the rest of his former squad to avoid conflict of interest implications between OpTic and MIBR, who are now owned by the same group.
