bodyy's contract with G2 expires; new project announced

After spending three years with G2, Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro is now a free agent, and it was revealed that he will be teaming up with players such as David "⁠devoduvek⁠" Dobrosavljevic and Antoine "⁠to1nou⁠" Pirard.

During his stay in G2, bodyy won three Big Events, ECS Season 1 Finals, ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals, and DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017, but ended up benched after François "⁠amanek⁠" Delaunay was brought into the squad in March.

With his contract running out, bodyy has announced that he will be back in action with a French team featuring some of his old teammates, hoping to "grind from the beginning". Only four members of the team are confirmed as of now, with a player to be trialed for the last spot.

The 22-year-old wrote the following in his TwitLonger:

"As for the time I spent on the bench, with the injury I had undergone, I had a lot of time to think about my future.

"A project has grown up very quickly. The idea of grinding from the beginning and earning what you deserve, like Vitality's or ENCE's project (with less experience) is what speaks to me, building something from scratch and simply growing as a unit, in the same spirit to reach the consistency and stability of the best.

"To achieve this, I got in touch with former teammates, who gained a lot of experience in those recent years, such as to1nou, matHEND and we decided together to go with a Frenchman who went to North America in order to grow up as a player, who is devoduvek. For the last one, we are starting a trial period, in order to find the perfect way to achieve what we want to build. Our motivation has no limits, to get as far as we can.

"Regarding myself, I have the motivation to play roles that I really like to play, to be in the best condition to compete, and to love the game.

"We will be looking for an organization to represent in the long term, as I have already said, our motivation is limitless, we will start grinding as soon as we find our last player, this new adventure is super exciting, and I look forward to getting started!"

bodyy's yet-unnamed team will feature three players that represented Instinct at DreamHack Open Tours, and look as follows:
