ESL One Cologne Fantasy goes live; booster feature added

The Fantasy game for ESL One Cologne is now open for play, with an update to the game introducing 14 different boosters which can be assigned to players to secure additional points.

Boosters will be added to the Live Draft and Money Draft game mode and function the same within both. Every user will have 14 different boosters available, each of which can be used once, in one round of the event, on a single player.

Every booster has a different trigger, which if met, will reward the player with an additional 10 points, but unlike roles, there is no punishment for a player that does not succeed in reaching the goal.

Boosters can be assigned ahead of time, with all five players eligible to receive boosters at the same time, within the same round. The deadline for assigning boosters is the start of the first match of a certain round.

Below are examples of a few boosters:

SIXTEEN ZERO: Player's team wins a map 16-0.
BOTTOM OF SCOREBOARD: The player ends at the bottom of the scoreboard on a map, based on kills, assists, and deaths.
CHOKE: Player's team is first to 15 rounds, but can't close the map in regulation time.
STRONG T: As T, Player's team gets more rounds than CT on any map in regulation time.
STRIDE: Player's team wins 8 rounds in a row in regulation time.
COMEBACK: Player's team comes back to even after being behind by 8 rounds.
BAIT: Player is traded 5 times or more on a map.

As ESL One Cologne starts on Tuesday, July 2nd at 12:00 , be sure to create your leagues, invite your friends, draft your teams and assign some boosters before then. All of that fun is accessible through the event's Fantasy page here.
