AGO merge with x-kom

AGO and x-kom have announced that they have merged the two organisations into one, called x-kom AGO.

The move sees the remaining two AGO players, Damian "⁠Furlan⁠" Kislowski and Dominik "⁠GruBy⁠" Swiderski, link up with the x-kom squad, producing a seven-man line-up that will be trimmed down via a selection process that will be completed by the end of September.

In a subsequent tweet, x-kom AGO Head of Esports Maciej Opielski revealed that tryouts "will not be limited" to players from these two teams, with "a dozen people" expected to come under the microscope.

The players will be selected based on not just performance but also their ability to function in a team that should be "a mix of competence, personality and determination in achieving goals," according to an official statement.

AGO announced on Thursday their plans to part ways with Tomasz "⁠phr⁠" Wójcik, Grzegorz "⁠SZPERO⁠" Dziamałek and Kacper "⁠kaper⁠" Słoma following a run of poor results. The team had recently finished 5th-6th at the ESL Polish Championship Spring 2019 Finals, held in Katowice.

x-kom had recently bolstered their ranks with the signings of Paweł "⁠innocent⁠" Mocek and Paweł "⁠reatz⁠" Jańczak, reaching the 43rd spot in the ranking in June 17's update. They are slated to participate in the next two international tournaments that will be held in Poland: the Good Game League, on July 13-14, and the Games Clash Masters, from September 20-22.

x-kom AGO have the following squad:

Its about the name and the process of merge bruh, now they have ~ twice more ppl in org and weird name instead of buying players by one single org without this mess. And i d rather create new org name then this mess, it looks awkward by itself + if they add some sponsor it would look even more weird. So they are indeed drunk rn i guess and will regret this on Monday

Dude x-kom is a huge electronic shop in poland with shops in every big city. They are titular sponsor, they dont need big sponsors now. They wanted to create big organization with big budget. X-kom had money, AGO had people that work in sports, their trainers work in football clubs

This isn't exactly a 'merge' from what I know They basically transfered all the players to AGO and added a titular sponsor to the name, all structures of x-kom team have been disbanded So the only real merging part is the players. The rest was just dropped and x-kom company sponsors AGO now

merge usually means that the owners all get shares in the new company. of course all the duplicate staff gets fired, that's why you do the merger in the first place, to save costs on personell. it's curious that it's so one-sided though, most likely that was part of the deal, or maybe the ago management earns less than the x-kom ppl did, so they went with the cheaper option.

Furlan - entry, pretty good in this role imo, he shouldn't be igl in new squad, imo he's wasting his potential while he's igl GruBy - riffler STOMP - awper, skilled af oskarish - igl, hard working, not so bad as riffler 5th player - maybe innocent, he's experienced player and he don't want to be star player, good reason to set him as support Everyone posting comments should remember that AGO want to build team which will be able to function properly, so the main term will be to fit roles to the players. -reatz - i like him, but he's not a calm player, he's more like byali -mono

You are right. Furlan was IGL a couple of times but never for longer period of time, so it's likely that he's or the team is not comfortable when he's IGLing. So oskarish is a must and there are rumors that he's pretty good at leading. When he gets support of minirox he can move this team to another level. So imho: - Furlan - Gruby - Oskarish - STOMP - reatz/innocent I think reatz has much better fragging power and innocent has probably better comms and teamplay skills, he is also calm and chill so he might be better team mate but it doesn't necessary bring better results for the team. I would pick reatz in the end I think. The rumors are ex-x-kom players will stick together and will leave organization. We will see what happens.
