ex-x-kom's Games Clash Masters spot transferred to x-kom AGO

Games Clash Masters have announced that the spot at the finals held by the ex-x-kom team has been transferred to x-kom AGO following the merger of the two organisations.

The ex-x-kom team had secured a spot at Games Clash Masters after winning the MEET POINT qualifier in May, but, having decided to leave the project following the merger of x-kom and AGO, the slot has been transferred to the organisation's new squad, who are currently holding tryouts to fill the three vacancies on their roster.

Games Clash Masters have also decided to invite the ex-x-kom team to the event, provided that they are able to find an organisation by the end of July.

x-kom AGO will be in attendance at Games Clash Masters

Games Clash Masters is set to take place from September 21-22 at the Gdynia Arena, Poland, where eight teams will duke it out for the $100,000 prize pool and the Games Clash Master's title. Seven of these slots will be filled through invites, with the final place being determined by the European closed qualifier, which will run from July 26-28 and feature the likes of Epsilon, Sprout and Ancient.

it says right there in the article that an invite has been extended to the ex-kom squad as well, so no spot was stolen, right? Don't know if hltv worded that correctly though, it sounds like the invite depends on them finding an org which would make no sense.

You're right, that must be the case I found the relevant tweet by the tournament organisers ( twitter.com/gamesclashpro/status/1146052..) and it's not HLTV's fault nobody knows what tf is actually going on: the tweet can be interpreted in so many different ways, not last because of the broken English. To me it sounds like ex-kom can only attend if they find a new organisation by the end of July which would be stupid. Or maybe they word it like that because otherwise the players would have to pay for travel / hotel by themselves which is unlikely that they'd do that. Or they have inside knowledge of a new org wanting to pick up the squad. Who even knows at this point
