SK to miss WCG after defeat to H2k
SK Gaming have been denied entry into the World Cyber Games event after losing to H2k Gaming 2-1 in a nail-bitting encounter.
On de_inferno, H2k started out really well as CT, storming to an 8-1 result in the first half after some strong defensive play, with Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson single-handedly winning a round for his team when he entered the bombsite alone, killing three SK players, after two team-mates of his had already left to save their guns. SK looked much more dangerous as T from then on, going into the second half down by just five rounds.
After switching sides, SK began playing more comfortably, levelling the game on 10 rounds but that would basically be as far as they would go as H2k would respond to win 16-12.

The next map, de_nuke, began with SK clearly better as they took several rounds in a row before H2k managed to do anything. In the last rounds of the first half, the former Lemondogs team looked stronger but all they managed was four rounds. Although H2k won the first three rounds as CT, SK were very aggessive in offensive duties and won the map 16-9.
On de_dust2, H2k began as Terrorist, and they found little trouble to get past SK's defense in the first rounds, cruising to a 7-1 result. SK then responded, taking three more rounds, but that was all they would get as H2k won it 11-4. In the second half, SK won the pistol round, but a well-planned eco round by H2k near catwalk pilled even more pressure on SK, who were now down 14-5. But Jim "zneel" Andersson's new team would find their feet, claiming 8 rounds in a row to balance things before H2k claimed their 15th round. There were now two rounds left to play and SK won both to force the game into overtime.

H2k, playing as T, started out the better, taking the first round, but their insistency in attacking BS A allowed SK to turn the score round and go into the second period with the lead. After winning the first half, it looked like the game would go to SK but Lemondogs kept pushing and took the remaining two rounds, with Bjørn "threat" Pers winning a crucial 1-on-2 situation to level the game again.
Again as CT, H2k played an incredible defensive game as they negated all of SK's attempts, winning the first half 3-0. The ex-Lemondogs team, who now required just one map, sealed the deal in the second round to send SK packing and be guaranteed of a spot at WCG in Chengdu.
