ENCE to IEM Chicago grand final over MIBR

Despite a slow start in the series, ENCE have defeated MIBR 2-1 (Mirage 9-16, Train 16-5, Dust2 16-7) to become the first finalists of IEM Chicago.

MIBR kicked off the first semi-final of IEM Chicago on the right foot on their pick, Mirage, coming out on top of a 2v2 afterplant in the pistol round to gain an early advantage on the offense. Individual plays from Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli, Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo, and Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo saw the two teams go toe-to-toe at the beginning, reaching a tied scoreline at 4-4, but a 1v1 clutch from Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles began to sway the half in the Brazilian team's favor.

MIBR ended up clinching a comfortable 10-5 half and continued to extend their lead with their second pistol round win, while a defuse from Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo in a chaotic afterplant situation pushed them to 14-7. ENCE responded with two in a row and looked to close the gap further, but they got caught off-guard with a strong eco setup in mid, backed up by a saved AWP from FalleN, and MIBR closed out map one at 16-9.

ENCE recovered from a tough loss on map one to sweep MIBR

Map one's surprising result didn't seem to rattle ENCE, who went into their pick, Train, in good spirits, with Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen's triples in the pistol round and the first gunround securing them a 6-0 lead on the Terrorist side. MIBR then managed to get their first and gave themselves a little bit of breathing room later on, but allu's quad-kill and a 1v2 ensured an 11-4 scoreline for the Finns.

The Brazilian squad grabbed the second pistol round, but they were unable to survive the upcoming anti-forcebuy, with Jani "⁠Aerial⁠" Jussila's 1v2 shifting momentum back in the favor of ENCE, who went on to equalize the series comfortably at 16-5.

ENCE kept up the form on the deciding map, Dust2, denying MIBR consecutive wins as they kept getting openings all over the map as CT, with a double AWP setup between allu and sergej giving them a dominant 11-4 half. Although FalleN's team grabbed the second pistol round, the Finnish powerhouse rallied to a quick victory, reaching the grand final at 16-7, 2-1.

This is just silly. Taco is an amazing player. Ofc he doesn’t frag much... he’s an entry fragger and on this team the way he plays is to go in front of everyone jumping collecting info and most important dont give easy frags to the cts... of course he’s not gonna kill 30 guys... he does his job even if he dies they get the trade well played taco. In some maps he lurks as well and his good for example cache, working on the squicky area. And hes very intelligent selecting which fights should he take and when. He never go die like an idiot like stewie used to do on c9 (now on Liquid hes controling himself very well most of the times). People saying taco is shit because his frags are low know nothing about this game

nah on top level of cs you HAVE to frag astralis` way of being top1 was 5(!) players in top20 since they struggled in personal level they just dropped down now liquid is all about 5-man-strong aiming skills. this is csgo if you are a B-player and died on site with 0 kills no matter what info you give what you say in TS. you just fcked up the entire round for your team. top level of CS is about kills = strats = luck = preparation = motivation. if you drop 1 away you get current astralis. csgo is not dota 2 where supports buying wards etc. its fine when you give info but you could actually kill. that was what astralis did. that is what liquid do. as 5. because 5v5 is easier to play than 4v5 UPD: Flash Assists hltv.org/stats/teams/players/flashes/921.. With zews, TACO isn’t entry. However he is doing solo bomb defense. Anyway he is not in good shape. (He knows it as you can see in his Twitter) I really believe if TACO would perform as he did in the past. Then MIBR could have a change to face ENCE in a better situation. ENCE’s aerial wasn’t performing good today. At one moment he was like 4-12 in train.

First off all coldzera doesnt bait. Hes a support player and his job is to do the second contact to try to save his teammate and if not get the trade, and hes the best support player in the world and in shape top 3 in the world without any question. (Well maybe top4 because i have to include zywoo on this top now - so zywoo simple niko and coldzera). Second Zews is not worse than a gold nova —‘. Ofc hes going to bottom frag. Hes playing against pros. Zews aim is not bad... is bad for pro level. On this level you have like 0.2 seconds (sometimes a lot less than that) to kill your opponnent or you’re dead. So yes zews aim is low for this level but he Woyld still hummiliate anyone on this chat on a game. And on cs aim is not the only thing that matters... this game is 50% aim 50% intelligence and game sense... see xantares for example. One of the best aimers in the world but always making bad decisions and compare him to karrigan which aim sucks but he managed to put 3 different neo criated teams to top 10 (tsm/astralis, faze and now mousesports)
