Match-ups for Minor Play-in determined

With the Minor Championships having come to an end, the match-ups for the Play-in stage have been determined.

Taking place this Monday in Berlin, the Play-in stage will see the third-placed sides from each of the four Minor Championships compete in a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket for the final three spots in the StarLadder Major's New Challengers Stage.

The allocation of an extra place, when compared to the Play-in stage leading to the previous Major, came as a result of the withdrawal of North American team Cloud9, who forfeited their New Challengers Stage spot after losing the core of the line-up that competed at IEM Katowice.

The road to the StarLadder Major will conclude on Monday

DreamEaters, the last team to enter the Play-in stage, will take on INTZ in the first match, with North locking horns with MVP PK in the following series. The losing sides of those two clashes will then square off for the final spot at the Major.

Below you can find the schedule for the Minor Play-in:

15:00 North vs. MVP PK
18:00 Minor Play-in LB final

The top three sides of the Play-in stage will join the following teams in the New Challengers Stage of the StarLadder Major:

The issue there is they have to beat one of three teams that are all at a higher skill level, hence why I said they had to get an upset win. Trust me, I want DreamEaters to make it, I'm just not going to get my hopes up.

MVP - higher lvl? intz - higher lvl? xd DreamEaters won Spirit twice which is not bad since Spirit was always a legit top-30 team. I have never seen INTZ in the top 30 and the last time they played against CIS they lost 3-16/4-16 (against forZe but preety bad score anyway). intz is trash, they will choke against any CIS team. mark my words.

C9 could’ve added mixwell and tenz, and listed daps as the coach, blame golden for being sick again

it was not allowed anymore unless theres actual reason. the rule was changed way after roster lock (because of mibr drama) but unlike c9 hellraisers didnt forfeit the spot (they had 2 active, 2 on the bench that were eligible). but it makes no sense as to why hr would list nukkye as a coach if rules didnt allow for it. i think starladder allowed them to change coach
