IEM Beijing 2019 confirmed with Liquid, Astralis in attendance
ESL has revealed the first details about the next IEM event, to be held in Beijing in less than three months.
The $250,000 event will see the semi-finals and the best-of-five title decider played in front of a crowd at the Beijing University Students' Gymnasium on November 9-10.
With Liquid and Astralis already confirmed, the tournament is shaping up to be much more stacked than last year's IEM Shanghai event, which had just one top 10 team in NRG, who would go on to lift the trophy after beating local representatives TYLOO in the final.

IEM Beijing 2019 will count towards the third season of the Intel Grand Slam, which was announced prior to IEM Chicago featuring an updated set of rules designed to make it more challenging after Liquid had won the second season in just 144 days.
With the first two teams already confirmed, there are now just three invites left to reveal. Two of the other three slots will be filled through online qualifiers in Asia, one of which for Chinese teams only, while the final place is reserved for Europe, presumably in the form of an online qualifying tournament similar to the ones that were held by GG.BET before ESL One New York and IEM Chicago.
Below you can find the current team list for the Chinese event:
