G2 take down TYLOO; North overrun INTZ
G2 and North are off to a great start at the StarLadder Major after beating TYLOO and INTZ in one-sided affairs.
The main stream match between G2 and TYLOO, preceded by some friendly banter on Twitter between the two organisations, began with a strong start from the Chinese squad on the CT side as they twice took a two-round lead.
A quad-kill from Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and a quick 1v2 clutch by Richard "shox" Papillon restored parity at 3-3, but G2 could not capitalise on that. The game then turned into a back-and-forth affair as neither side could get a grip on proceedings until kennyS swung the tide in G2's favour with a huge individual round, inspiring his team to put together a string of rounds and take a 9-6 lead.

G2 further added to their lead by taking the second half pistol but were then caught off-guard by TYLOO's force-buy. That round gave the Chinese squad some breathing room, but their comeback hopes would soon be shattered. With Audric "JACKZ" Jug leading the charge on the CT side, the French giants kept their opponents at bay and picked up a comfortable 16-10 victory.

Meanwhile, North were the first high seed of the Major to let an opponent take the initiative and pick the map, which gave the Danes the option to start on the CT side of Train - one that they took full advantage of as they cruised to a 14-1 lead.

The Danes picked up where they left off and secured the pistol round to hit match point. INTZ refused to go down without a fight, though, and put together a string of rounds with star player Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe in command, but their comeback attempt would be short-lived.
