Vitality ease past North to secure 1-0 record in Berlin

Vitality beat North 16-9 on Inferno in their opening match of the New Legends Stage to put themselves into the 1-0 pool with ENCE, Astralis, Liquid, and NRG

Vitality were quick to get a round on the board thanks to a push down mid by Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire in the pistol round, resulting in four kills onto the unsuspecting players of North.

After that, the French side gained a 4-1 advantage and seemed set to run away with the lead thanks to the continued work of apEX and Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut. However, their confidence got the best of them as North managed to scrape together a force buy win, breaking the economy of Vitality and ultimately resulting in a tied score. The loss of their early on lead only seemed to fuel the fire in Vitality's players as they went on to give up just two more round during the first half, gaining a solid lead of 9-6 going into the break.

apEX shines in Vitality's convincing win over North

The second half began with a pistol round victory for North, but a shoddy buy from Vitality in the next caught Valdemar "⁠valde⁠" Bjørn Vangså and co off-guard. From there, the players of Vitality took total control of the game as they aggressively put pressure onto all parts of the Danish team's defense, making their opponents' chance of a comeback less and less likely. After his team had reached map point, ZywOo easily closed out the map with a 1v1 clutch to seal a convincing victory.
