Kvik announces free agency

Aurimas "⁠Kvik⁠" Kvakšys is no longer contracted to Winstrike, the Lithuanian player has announced on social media.

In a Twitlonger, the 23-year-old revealed he would be taking a vacation away from the game to "reset my mind a little" and return to the game in the new season having rested after an extended period of time on Winstrike.

Kvik had been a part of Winstrike since the organisation acquired the Quantum Bellator Fire roster in June 2018. Since then, the squad has undergone numerous roster changes with the side consequently unable to find stability or desirable results.

Kvik is now a free agent

The Lithuanian player also noted that the departure of Kirill "⁠Boombl4⁠" Mikhailov to Natus Vincere caused a huge shake-up in-game, with a subsequent role swap impacting Kvik's performances and the team dynamic.

It was an amazing year spent in this organisation - Winstrike. I matured a lot as a person and as a player. There's a lot of passionate people working here and I'm really glad I had a chance to work with them. I will be forever grateful for what they have done for me. - Kvik wrote.

As for now, I'm going for a little vacation. I haven't been on a proper one for about 5 years now. As much as I love playing this game, I feel like the time has come to reset my mind a little and comeback fresh for the new season.

What comes to where I will play, I still don't know. I'm free of my contract now, so I'm going to be exploring options, but I'm not necessarily in a rush to find a team, since I really feel I need to get my confidence back first.

Kvik additionally highlights his intentions of returning to the game after resting, with the player promising to "come back stronger" for the new season.

Sanji is one of the most obvious support players in the world. He is such a team player and went something like 6 buy rounds in a row with SMG because he dropped weapons to teammates in the Challenger stage. He is one of the most important players for AVANGAR and considering why Kvik left Winstrike this would just destroy both Kvik and AVANGAR.

-jame +Mou Jame baits too much with little to show outside of stats, and literally would save an awp into the next map if he could Mou atleast isn't a baiter and has enough experience to also help the team get a better structure to maybe be back to their peak

he's underrated imo Not a T1 awper, but midpack T2. AVANGAR would be so much better if they had a non-baiting AWPer and maybe an IGL but the only CIS IGL available atm is jR I think. EDIT: Crush too but I rather see jR and have a double AWP with Mou

Lithuanian scene is divided into two groups - those who know English and play in Europe and those who know Russian and play in the CIS. Kvik is a CIS player so expect it in the CIS mix.

Yes his English is good, but all his friends and teammates is Lithuanian and CIS players, so expect it in the new CIS mix, maybe the players of VEGA or QBF or just random CIS players, but I'm sure he will play with Russian-speaking players

not really, Lithuanian teams are never successful and will never be due to the lack of a proper IGL, btw almost all players are very cocky so it's hard for few different egos to play it out with each other. I can assure you, it's impossible. Imperial was a nice try with a Lithuanian core but the org kinda fucked it up, maybe it was the beginning of something better.
