mirbit leaves Sprout

Sabit "⁠mirbit⁠" Coktasar has put an end to his time in Sprout despite the team's recent success.

Eight months after joining Sprout with Florian "⁠syrsoN⁠" Rische to replace the Danish duo of Martin "⁠PERCY⁠" Wessel and Niels Christian "⁠NaToSaphiX⁠" Sillassen to make the roster fully German, mirbit has stepped down from the team to pursue new opportunities.

mirbit's move comes mere weeks after Sprout managed to qualify for the upcoming season of ESL Pro League after defeating Heretics 2-0 in the ESL Pro League Season 9 Relegation upper bracket final, where the Germans also beat Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0 in their opening match.

The decision also comes shortly after Tobias "⁠tow b⁠" Herberhold's move to Sprout's local rivals BIG, where he has taken the reins of Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz and company for the upcoming season. "The departure of our coach tow b played a significant role in my decision due to him being a great mentor and friend to me," states mirbit about the departure of the team's former coach.

Other than helping Sprout get to ESL Pro League, the 22-year-old rifler was also a part of the team that played the Europe Minor, where they went out following defeats to two teams that are currently fighting to become Legends at the Major, CR4ZY and MOUZ.

mirbit's full statement reads as follows:

"Today, I sadly announce that I decided to part ways with Sprout. While it may be surprising for a lot of people, my decision is not a result of our performance. After all, we qualified for the Minor and the ESL Pro League, even reaching the top 20 on HLTV, making us the most successful Sprout lineup of all time. We had different views on further development and approaches to certain aspects. On top of that, the departure of our coach tow b played a significant role in my decision due to him being a great mentor and friend to me.

"Without keeping it too negative, I still had a great time as a player myself. I developed a lot, had the pleasure to work with an awesome management and talented players. I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for the good time and wish you all nothing but the best, I’m sure you will find a way to make it work. For the near future, I’ll keep myself hot by playing and streaming a lot of FPL. I’m currently looking for a new challenge as a rifler (entry, lurk or support), regional and international offers are appreciated!
