fnatic to bring back Golden and flusha - Report

According to a report by 1pv.fr, fnatic are looking to complete their roster with Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist and Maikil "⁠Golden⁠" Selim.

Both flusha and Golden are former fnatic members who have departed the organization during 2018 and have since had stints in Cloud9. Golden has most recently participated in the StarLadder Major Berlin with Ninjas in Pyjamas, but is seemingly set to join their Swedish rivals fnatic.

If the move goes through, fnatic will be close to reforming the roster that won IEM Katowice 2018

According to the report, fnatic's attempts to sign GamerLegion's Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson have fallen through as the organization refused to sell the 21-year-old AWPer. fnatic have therefore turned to flusha and Golden and have been practicing with them, with more details to be released in the coming days.

With the reported change, fnatic would have the following roster:

well thats the problem now, isnt it. Swedish CS scene is fairly small, so there are next to no marginal of errors allowed. So you gotta take a huge gamble that the young promising player actually performs well in the pro scene. On the other hand, the teams might want to play it safe, to bring in experienced players in the pro scene, in hope to get some results at least. Both of the choices have their downsides... But to me, i lean more towards your opinion, to give the young ones a chance. We've seen many swedish shuffles and nothing has worked.. just my 2 cents.

i dont think GL is the right org for him he needs to grow in a good org like brollan for example and maybe plopski ( who i dosent really like alot) but yeah i am happy about flusha coming back u cant get a much better lurker but not really about golden Fnatic needed an Awper JW is a better rifler now and he is awp skills went kinda rusty (he gets insane kills but misses easy shots) thats why in the last 2 roster changes they went for draken and twist to fill it

WESG? do u consider that a hard event? the hardest team was like Space soliders at that event and time IEM it can be a fluke just 1 tournament i mean every single player of fnatic preformed well also they played against faze in the finals when they was reaching every single final and choking hard in it lets not forget about the 2 flusha aces that were mind blowing to win them that dont get me wrong i am a fnatic fan but if u consider WESG especially a good achievement at that time then its not

Its the fact that the team was a shambles, unable to do anything, barely wins at all no map pool and hard to see why you would pick them in games.. then they got more and more consistent with golden, over time getting better and better at the same time ? they had clear structure and the players roles allowed them to go on a run of form yep, as it happens, part of the effect a pretty basic system has! thats the whole point. golden came up in the new era of CSGO where the entire scene has a very high level of competently structured teams. The CT competency has come up a lot over the years, and T side refinements have put the game at such a high level compared to the same skilled players just playing on feel and natural cohesion, through game sense Look at Astralis a little grind and the system works like clockwork, as it should.. much deeper more complex system there between very close knit group of people, it was obvious that if the players find their groove they go on a tear and win the major like they did but the system could take out lower tier teams even with them whiffing. If you put basic solid players in the mechanics and run the same system with those players they are at a high level ! if you put those players then into a pug system they are hot and cold, mostly on the cold side average, hard to have any faith in Right ?? and the WESG win was not complete shit was it, lol.. they played rock solid the whole tourney, basic starts.. very clean execution.. took care of the 0 tier1 competition nicely

it almost happend in esl cologne clean start good games insane close game against astralis as a new roster then they won plg at the end of the year and everyone thought they will go crazy next year but everything went downhill and nothing happend i mean u can have a good tournament or 2 no way they would be so crazy changing their roster when it was perfectly going well something might have happend something didnt work that we cant tell that made them try to change

Hard to be sure but it would seem like the players don't want to run a more structured system, put in theory work and drills etc, it was never heavily like that in Sweden but the days are gone where you can leave details unknown, leave things to chance. Every tiny edge gained by optimized routines pays dividends in the long run. Again, Astralis lol But if you have these players on contracts have been carrying the org for years.. and they say.. we kinda dont want to go that direction we'd be retiring by the time the logistics and scope of the whole operation played out and paid dividends, its counter productive for us (JW, KRIMZ especially) to be going against so many years of ingrained habits and so on.. who knows, can see how it would be a good move to just let them have their way, and also a good move to go back now and at least do the work, have the analysts side working on making the preparation and training processes more efficient as they go, the next generation with Brollan as the veteran will be some serious team I think.. the kids these days have such sharp skills, an optimized team of them will be savage af

Because he has the highest potential in the entire swedish scene, at such a young age he will only become better with experience and he's already shown a lot of potential. brollan is like a future investment for fnatic, he has the potential to become one of the best in the world were as the rest of the roster (except krimz) have been mediocre for a long time and you can't expect that to suddently change since they've played so long. I guess krimz is the last player I would actually kick since he's been a consistent beast for a long time but you certaintly don't kick the young talent with tons of potential either.
