Details about the qualifiers for the upcoming $500,000 StarSeries i-League Season 8 have been revealed by StarLadder.

The action is set to kick off shortly in Europe, where eight invited teams will be competing for one spot at the LAN event in Turkey. GamerLegion, Sprout, and Aristocracy are among teams invited to the competition which will take place over September 26 - October 6.

GamerLegion will participate in the European qualifier

The European qualifier will feature two GSL-style groups followed by a single-elimination bracket, with all of the matches being BO3.

The groups for the European qualifier are as follows:

The Asian qualifier will be a bit shorter than the European one, running over September 26-30. Two slots at the main tournament are reserved for Asian teams, with a double-elimination playoff bracket used to determine the best squads.

The final qualifier spot will be given to a Brazilian team, the winner of CBCS Season 1, which will be decided after the final stage is played out in São Paulo on October 4-11.

I guess they'll invite na'vi and avg at least. +2 cis teams in europe quals. + it will take place in Turkey, so it's pointless to invite too many cis orgs. So it's ok in general.

Should always invite the defending champion of your league. Only exception is with mouz and ESL NY since the core was changed.

Navi's CEO already said in the interview that they will play tournament in Turkey in the middle of October. So they will be on this tournament for sure

Only 7 teams of the top10 will be invited. In your list, we have 8 or 9 (if MIBR was one of them). I think, maybe, FURIA will be invited replacing Renegades, but who knows.

Well vp is in top20 for the firs time in a long time + last season worst non china team that has been invited was BIG a they were #18. So yeah there is a chance but vp only played good on 1 lan so if they will keep up their good form they can me invited which I hope for
