NiP unveil twist

Simon "⁠twist⁠" Eliasson has joined Ninjas in Pyjamas, the Swedish organization announced, completing their roster following the departure of Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund.

The 24-year-old makes the switch from fnatic, where he was benched in August as the team looked to enter a "new phase" following an underwhelming showing at the StarLadder Berlin Major.

NiP have secured the services of twist

twist's move to Ninjas in Pyjamas comes after numerous rumors of the AWPer turning down the famed organization in the past. With twist's addition, Ninjas in Pyjamas have completed their roster going into the final months of the year, with their first stop being DreamHack Masters Malmö, kicking off on October 1st.

The following statement was included in the official announcement, while twist answered questions about his role and Ninjas in Pyjamas in an attached video (English subtitles available):

"The internationally proven top tier 24-year-old will be wielding the AWP for his new team, providing a stable foundation for our players and coaching staff to build new strategies on. Simon, with his experience and maturity, also brings a calming presence to the server which is often underestimated as a factor in a team’s success."

Alongside the signing of their fifth player, Ninjas in Pyjamas have also announced an upcoming coaching staff expansion, with more information to be revealed in the coming week.

Lekro is actual trash. The only reason he seems like he’s good, is because of flashy deagle plays; usually eco rounds because his strats are fucking garbage and the team has to save...on top of that, most of those rounds end up being losses, even if he lands 2 or 3 kills. He might seem pretty good, but he desperately needs to leave...he has the least impact of any of the team, and his calling is sub top 20 caliber.

No, just no, sure they're both decent on AWP but f0rest is far more impactful as a rifler than an awper, lekro is a serviceable awper but still is a better rifler than awper. They need both an awper and a proper IGL but an awper more and since there are a fair few decent swedish awpers about but no good IGL's its an easy choice to make.
