OG to enter CS:GO with lineup led by Aleksib - Report

OG, the organisation known for winning back-to-back Dota 2 Internationals, is set to enter CS:GO with a roster featuring the likes of Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen, Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt and Valdemar "⁠valde⁠" Bjørn Vangså, according to a report by 1pv.fr.

The deal is expected to come to fruition soon, with the lineup built around the long-rumored collaboration between NBK- and Aleksib, who are benched by Vitality and ENCE, respectively. The duo have seemingly decided to side with the two-time Dota 2 International-winning organization over 100 Thieves, who confirmed in July their plans to re-enter the game.

Joining the pair will be two other experienced players in valde, who recently stopped calling for North, and Issa "⁠ISSAA⁠" Murad, who is currently benched by HellRaisers. Both players will be looking for a change of scenery after what has so far been an underwhelming 2019.

Aleksib to guide new international lineup

Aleksib will be guiding another Finnish player in this new challenge, 18-year-old AWPer Elias "⁠Jamppi⁠" Olkkonen. The SJ star is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe and was recently featured in our One for the future series.

The report adds that the international squad is set on competing in ESL Pro Tour, as well as in BLAST PREMIER, with slots for both 2020 circuits already secured by OG.

OG is expected to have the following lineup:

Not really. Havent seen a good international teams besides FaZe and Mouz. And both Mouz and FaZe are full of really good top tier players. Also , Valde belongs to Denmark...Denmark have so much talent , they only had to sign Karrigan (either north or Optic) but no , all they do is dumb moves all the time. Lineup that may work imo : valde karrigan kjaerbye bubzkji mertz Good amount of firepower and good igl. If they click with each other , there we go easy top5.

Also , its not all about individual skill , look at FaZe and look at Astralis. What does the "superstars" team done so far ? I thought that it's any three player that has the spot. Anyway I misremembered, the next EPL is S10 not S11 as I thought. So it doesn't matter since their spot won't be relevant for S11. They should be in time for the S32 Premier Relegation which meant that they'll get to S33 Premier (should they won the relegation) and therefore in a prime position to get into EPL S11 by finishing top 2 in S33 Premier or finishing third and winning the EPL S10 Relegation.

prize money largely doesn't go to the orgs anyway cs has proven to be the most stable esport game, has tons of tournaments every year (majors + big circuits with ESL/blast next year), and a solid international viewer base along with dota2, cs should be a no brainer for any decent org - the only other candidate is LoL but it's too hard to get into without buying an existing team slot which is ridiculously expensive now

yeah, Valde is team captain and is/was IGLing in North, that was a mistake in my books, it's just a wasted talent, he is a fragger and needs to be in that position, this definitely would be a good change for him. But the point is that he isn't an IGL (like Aleksi is), he just took that role because they had no one else to do it at the time.

Its not 3 igls retards. Valde never wanted to call but North forced his hand. Finally he can go back to beasting, hes NiKo in his prime-esque. NBK will be secondary/midround help. And Support (which he is actually solid at. Especially in a team that wants to believe in him.) Seems xtqzzzz aka Uncle Fester was the most toxic part of Vita. Aleksi literally hard carried ENCE along with Sergej. Allu is washed up and just cant crack many teams. ISSA was a stellar performer in old HR. New HR had literally no support and a cpl dead players who didnt give a f. Im sure that rubbed off in him. Im betti g we will see a solid resurgence. I initially hoped he would join w0xic in mouz. But im happy and excited to see him perform again. Jammpi is the unknown here, has serious potential that id say mimics frozen. IMO top 15 by Kato next yr, maybe even higher.

why yall say "3 igls" aleksi is the only "real" igl.. valde and nbk were never igls, they were forced to do the role because no one could or wanted in their ex teams.. using all of valde's firepower is actually very good and nbk will do anything for the team, it all depends on jamppi if he's good enough awper or nah, also if issaa can reach his early HR form, then they look scary.

Could be interesting. Aleksib have proven to be a good Igo Valde can adapt to any play style Nbk very experienced Issaa huge eagerness to win Jumpi don't rly know if he's any good but I've heard good of him. Ofc there are lots of other factors coming in.

Well, if you look at this team and what options they have, damn.. yeah ok How much did it cost.. outbid 100T for the team which is built by AleksiB and NBK.. these guys are contrasting but similar types.. NBK is ideal as a captain.. 2nd guy there, old master who can rally the troops with words, can have a cool head at 14-14 in map 3 in a major final and make that play with the shotgun and grab a rifle etc.. he can give some perspective from experience but let the young gun lead valde can STAR.. cant wait to see him unleashed and ISSAA can do it too.. or he can be a solid anchor.. he reminds me of NBK in anchor positions and in holding angles with a rifle in general.. can be a rock in a lot of situations for the pushes to open up. valde is the kind of guy who can make a lot from the freedom he will often be able to get.. AWPer.. not familiar enough but the mentality of the players suggests he will have good self control etc.. and be pretty reliable. Is he one who can go and open up a site or be in the close spot and still get both guys.. or hit those flicks in a clutch ? who knows how much he can do but the team is sick potential in a can

Aleksi, Valde and rising talent of Jamppi is a great start. Having experience in NBK, ok, but not a fan of Issaa. They could copy the OG nationalities from Dota and it would make sense in taking Jks. The guy is the best CS player from the region, though I am not saying he would want to leave. But it could be such a challenge to try such a promising team.

Wtf is all of those mix teams? Where is the traditional same nationality lineups.. its just desperate mix teams with basically leftovers.. It has been proven already that chemistry and teamwork is way better than individual skills ( not reffering to aleksib).

FaZe, Mouz & Jkaem in Renegades can do it. So can they. & the players 100% know positions of the maps & Aleksib + NBK knows strats & like i said NBK speaks solid English, Aleksib also speaks pretty well. You make it sound like a person goes "404" when they talk English lol, also "stop and think for a few seconds" is overkill lol, these dudes play FPL daily with people & they speak English.
