G2 beat NiP to secure playoff upper bracket spot

G2 advance to the upper bracket of the double-elimination playoffs in Belek after securing a 2-0 series against Ninjas in Pyjamas, who are now set to face Evil Geniuses in Group B's consolidation final.

Ninjas in Pyjamas commenced the series with a fruitful start to their T-side pistol round on Dust2, following it up with an additional two, the latter of which featuring a spectacular UMP triple kill from Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson in Mid. With their finances straight, G2 retaliated, employing Kenny "kennyS" Schrub's AWPing abilities in the process, and while a single-round lead was accrued, the team conceded momentum shortly afterward. Ninjas in Pyjamas took advantage of the situation, walking away with the majority of remaining rounds at 8-7, with the concluding two featuring a triple kill from Fredrik "REZ" Sterner and an ace from Simon "twist" Eliasson.

In line with his previous heroics, kennyS ensured the second pistol round for G2 with a Glock triple kill. The early momentum was developed into long-term success, and despite occasional conversions from Ninjas in Pyjamas, the Frenchmen kept their eyes on the goal. This persisted all the way to map point, with a subsequent 16-12 closure, courtesy of an AK-47 quad kill from Audric "JACKZ" Jug.

kennyS secured a 1.42 rating come conclusion of Dust2

Overpass' first pistol round witnessed a malarky, as G2 conceded a 5v2 situation to the duo of twist and REZ, the latter securing a triple kill to close the round. Ninjas in Pyjamas proceeded with confidence in their stride, amassing rounds barring the occasional upset from G2, an example of which was a pistol buy quad kill for JACKZ, who secured the Frenchmen their first round.

After an underwhelming start, François "amanek" Delaunay re-engaged his team with a crucial triple kill B hold, replicating the number of frags in the following round. This served as the catalyst for G2's return into the half, as the team closed out all remaining rounds to bring the scoreline to 8-7.

The Frenchmen's success persisted in the opening rounds of the latter half as well, set off with a Glock triple kill by recurring offender, JACKZ. A tally of five consecutive victories was secured before Ninjas in Pyjamas were able to retaliate in the form of Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg's M4A4 hold. The Ninjas went on to secure another two, but a falter against G2's force buy cost them dearly, as the Frenchmen ensured map point. A swift B hit from Nemanja "nexa" Isaković and company marked the conclusion of Overpass and the series at 16-10.

Those crazy serbians are really taking the squad to another level. And really from their first matches on. I always liked the org G2 but now that two likeable and amazing players replaced Annoy-o-tron shox and Lucky the fire of this team is amazing. Looking forward to more. Not quite sure if they already can win a tournament, but especially in this one I could see them go far. Hunter and nexa always show up. So its more about whether the french part of the team struggles or not.

No reason for them to go to faze . They have potential for top 3 right now with the frenchies (cant say the same with the faze players)

There is no sense in arguing about Faze clans pickups since they keep messing them up anyways as usual.

Are you kidding? Most of their matches hunter and nexa carry the shit out of the frenchies. And if those three can keep the level up they showed in this match G2 can really go far.
