ViCi secure final spot at CS:GO Asia Championships
ViCi booked the last spot at the CS:GO Asia Championships after beating EHOME in three maps in the grand final of the Chinese qualifier.
Zhuo "advent" Liang's side exacted revenge on EHOME for the loss in the one-sided upper bracket final as they overcame a map deficit to assure themselves of a return to a world stage, six months after their last Big Event appearance, at IEM Sydney.
The Chinese team, who have been trying out Yi "JamYoung" Yang as a replacement for Tao "Franke19" Deng, began the best-of-five series with a convincing victory on their map pick, Inferno, after romping to an 11-4 lead on the Terrorist side.

ViCi followed that up with a hard-fought victory on Mirage after coming back from 6-9 down despite an inspired performance from Zhenghao "DANK1NG" Lv, who ended the map with 27 frags and a 1.22 rating. Nuke was also a tightly-contested affair from the offset, but ViCi managed to fend off a late comeback effort from EHOME to lock down the map in the final round of regulation, with ZhiHong "aumaN" Liu topping the scoreboard with a 1.64 rating.

ViCi will join seven other teams, including fellow Chinese side TYLOO, at the CS:GO Asia Championships, which will be held in Shanghai from November 20-24. A total of $500,000 will be on offer at the Chinese tournament, which was won by Natus Vincere last year.
The qualification adds to an already busy schedule for ViCi and will be their third LAN event of the month. Next week, the team will be taking part at IEM Beijing, an event headlined by the current top two sides in the world, Evil Geniuses and Astralis. On November 14, they will attend the eXTREMESLAND 2019 Asia Finals, also in Shanghai, where they will be one of the favourites alongside Grayhound and TYLOO.
