eUnited upset FURIA, 100 Thieves take down Isurus in ESL Pro League Americas
eUnited beat FURIA to claim their first win in ESL Pro League Americas Group B, while 100 Thieves breezed past Isurus to move up to first place.
eUnited kept themselves in the running for a spot in Odense as they bounced back from a 0-2 loss to 100 Thieves the night before with a convincing performance against FURIA, whose chances are looking very slim ahead of their final clash against the ex-Renegades squad.
At first things seemed set to go the Brazilian team's way as they racked up an early 6-2 lead on Overpass. However, Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado was able to single-handedly change the pace of the game during round nine with a triple kill that started what would be a seven-round win streak for eUnited.

The second pistol round seemed to be the nail in the coffin for FURIA as Victor "food" Wong ripped through their offense with ease, securing himself a quad kill and putting eUnited on double digits. The North American squad looked set to run away with the map until an aggressive force buy push from FURIA yet again changed the pace of the game. With the scoreline creeping closer and closer to a tie, eUnited finally managed to catch a break and pull ahead to win their map pick 16-13.
FURIA were still frazzled going into their map pick, Vertigo, and were off to a very slow start that saw them win just two of the opening eight rounds. The Brazilians then finally woke up and brought the deficit to just one round before the break, only to be run over by eUnited in the second half as the North Americans ran amok on the Terrorist side.

The second match of the night began on Inferno, which saw 100 Thieves take the first pistol round of the series with a nearly flawless B site hold. From there the Australian team were able to put together a 5-0 lead before finally falling to the offense of Isurus. Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad halted the Argentinians' momentum with an ace, propelling his team into an 11-4 lead. With the sides now switched, 100 Thieves continued to add to their lead and wrapped things up in the 21st round thanks to a quad kill from Justin "jks" Savage.

Isurus were finally able to catch a break during the first pistol round of Mirage thanks to a successful defensive hold. 100 Thieves responded with proper utility and rifles, but Isurus were able to stay level throughout the half, which ended with a narrow advantage for the Australians. Things continued to look up for Isurus on their T side thanks to another pistol round victory, but their hopes would soon be crushed as 100 Thieves took control of the map and laid the series to rest.
