CS:GO Asia Championships groups determined

The draw for the group stage of the CS:GO Asia Championships has been made, with the eight participating teams having learned their fate in the competition.

The group draw took place this Monday in Shanghai in a meeting with the eight participating teams, who were split into two double-elimination groups.

Evil Geniuses face a tricky test against MIBR in the opening round of Group A, which also features G2 and local side TYLOO. In the other group, all eyes will be on the clash between AVANGAR and MOUZ, two teams separated by just three places in the rankings.

tarik will go up against his old team of MIBR on Wednesday

Kicking off on Wednesday, the CS:GO Asia Championships will feature a best-of-three format in all matches. The group winners will automatically move on to the semi-finals, while the second and third-placed sides will advance to the first round of the single-elimination playoffs.

lol, only one team is eliminated per group so in the end group draw doesn't matter that much I guess. That said this might be ence only chance ever to make playoffs, hopefully they lose to vici and blow it, would be so funny to see them reach new lows :D
