mousesports kick off Intel Grand Slam S3 campaign with ESL Pro League S10 victory

Five teams are now tied in the Intel Grand Slam Season 3 race, with MOUZ joining the current top four of Astralis, Evil Geniuses, fnatic, and Liquid by winning the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals.

In Odense, Denmark, MOUZ continued to show their improved form which they first displayed at the CS:GO Asia Championships in China. With victories over Astralis, Evil Geniuses and fnatic, MOUZ managed to secure back-to-back tournament wins after a period of middling results.

From the five IGS S3 tournaments played, we have seen five different teams lift trophies, with no one pulling ahead as we come close to the end of the year.

As the rules were changed after Liquid's 63-day IGS S2 speedrun, a team that wishes to win the Intel Grand Slam now needs to win four IGS titles within a window of ten events, with at least one of them is a Masters Championship event, which for 2020 will be IEM Katowice and ESL One Cologne, as well as any potential Major run by either ESL or DreamHack.

If a team is unable to win a Masters Championship event, they are required to win six tournaments inside a window of ten events to take the Intel Grand Slam title and the accompanying $1,000,000.

Actually I've just been baiting but ChrisJ, and guys like Erkast do spend so long in a region they become embedded into that scene and basically become honorary members of it. NiKo was in the same situation as ChrisJ, but instead opted to leave the german scene so he doesn't have ties to it now and wouldn't be considered a german player. ChrisJ still remains under a German org and karrigan is half german so one can argue he still is within the scene
