MAD Lions sign Tricked roster

The Danish roster that formerly represented Tricked has joined the MAD Lions organization.

The move was confirmed just 24 hours after MAD Lions released their Spanish lineup, headlined by veteran David "⁠Kairi⁠" de Miguel.

Based in Madrid, MAD Lions were in May purchased by OverActive Media, the parent company of Splyce and the Overwatch League’s Toronto Defiant. In 2020, it will be represented in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) by the team that used to compete under Splyce, a brand that has been shut down.

The former Tricked lineup broke into the top 30 half a year ago, and have been a mainstay there since, peaking at #17 after a victory at the V4 Future Sports Festival.

HUNDEN and his pack will now be representing MAD Lions

Alongside their new organization, the Danish team unveiled their new coach as well, Luis "⁠peacemaker⁠" Tadeu. The Brazilian tactician will be standing behind the team at their first event under the new organization, DreamHack Open Sevilla, which kicks off today.

Goodluck to Tricked! A lot of further potential! Communication wise and for the social group dynamics I think it is really bad to have a coach who can't speak the same language as the team. The team will speak Danish most of the time, because it is so much easier and faster.. Do we have any examples of teams who actually succeeded to do it this way? Having a coach who could not speak the same language as the players do in game?
