The young AWPer Elias "⁠Jamppi⁠" Olkkonen has been placed on the bench of SJ, with Toni "⁠STOVVE⁠" Liukkonen joining the team to complete the roster.

Jamppi has been a part of SJ since April 2018, with the lineup having a set five since October of last year. During that time, most of the LAN events SJ played were local ones in Finland, but they found some success online as well to peak at #35 in the world rankings in September. Jamppi, the 18-year-old AWPer, was a big factor in their wins, averaging a 1.23 rating in 2019.

Jamppi's future is uncertain at this moment

His impressive play at a young age has earned him a "One for the future" article, as well as resulted in him being linked to OG before the international squad turned their sights towards Valentin "⁠poizon⁠" Vasilev and Mateusz "⁠mantuu⁠" Wilczewski. It was the ties to a VAC-banned account which, if confirmed, would make Jamppi ineligible to play Majors, that dissuaded Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt and co. from pursuing the Finnish player.

On Twitter, Jamppi stated that he is hoping he can share some good news soon, but in the meanwhile, SJ have added STOVVE to the lineup. Adjusting the roles will result in Mikko "⁠xartE⁠" Välimaa taking on the primary AWPing duties, which SJ admit will take some time to work out.

SJ, currently ranked 54th in the world and third in Finland, are now:

Why would I? I am just explaining to you, that if hes old account was banned, it doesn't automatically mean he was the one cheating on it. He might have given it to a friend, or sold it off. And anyways the banned account was like 7 years old. Do you think he should not be able to play in a tier 1 team because he "may have cheated" when he was a kid?
