BLAST Premier Spring Series group draw

The draw for the group stage of BLAST Premier Spring Series has been made, with the 12 competing teams having been split into three groups.

The draw was made live on BLAST's Twitch channel, with the groups featuring one team from each of the four seeding pots, which were determined after teams were asked to rank each other.

A best-of-three format will be used across all stages, though it is still unclear if the group stage will feature a round-robin format or a double-elimination bracket.

s1mple and ZywOo will face each other in a group that also features Astralis

Featuring a $300,000 prize pool, the Spring Series will kick off on January 31 at the 3 Mills Studios, in London, where BLAST will offer fans the chance to "experience the action up close". The top two sides from each group will advance to the eight-team Spring Finals, where an additional $750,000 will be on the line.

The bottom-placed sides from the group stage plus four extra teams will be taking part in the $325,000 Showdown phase, where the last two spots at the Spring Finals will be on offer. BLAST will give any team the chance to compete in the Showdown stage via open qualifiers, which will be announced at a later date.

Single-day tickets for the BLAST Premier matches will go on sale on Friday at 12:00 and will cost £10 (approximately $13).
