k1to parts ways with Sprout

Nils "⁠k1to⁠" Gruhne and Sprout have parted ways as the German side are down to three players, the organization announced.

The 21-year-old follows in the footsteps of his former teammate Florian "⁠syrsoN⁠" Rische, whose departure from Sprout was announced earlier this month after both players were rumored to be on the way to BIG to create an all-German roster under the Berlin-based organization.

k1to had been playing with Sprout since the middle of the year, joining from a European mixture Epsilon to fill a gap left by Denis "⁠denis⁠" Howell, who spent a short time playing for BIG before returning to his former team in September.

k1to follows syrsoN out of Sprout

During the seven months he played under the German banner, k1to averaged an overall 1.09 rating, most notably helping the team qualify for ESL Pro League, place second at Games Clash Masters and DreamHack Open Atlanta, as well as win the latest ESL Meisterschaft season.

Sprout are now down to three players:

It's been a long time I've been waiting to get something from the german scene. In fact I was pretty hyped at some points and it always ended pretty quick. The whole shit with Troubley... Then the successful PENTA with strux1 and it exploded suddenly. mouz when gob joined then it exploded again with NiKo... And BIG who was never really fully German for a long time :/ Also : I don't know where I did read that he was joining sprout as the IGL because he had some success doing so with Epsilon ? I am not sure...I just thought k1to would manage it well, in his streams he teased some good strats so I just guessed he could support tabseN if not completely overtake the role. and yeah...there have been so many german talents, but unfortunately it never worked out, in some ways because of personal issues or even death (Troubley, cyx) or because German CS lacked other important things to guarantee success. but as a German myself I really wanna see a German team compete with the big boys in top 10.
