f0rest's move to Dignitas sets off changes in NiP and GamerLegion - Report

According to a report from 1pv.fr, changes in Ninjas in Pyjamas and GamerLegion are imminent as a result of Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg's rumored move to Dignitas being completed.

The report supports rumors of a new Dignitas team being put together by former Ninjas in Pyjamas teammates Adam "⁠friberg⁠" Friberg, Richard "⁠Xizt⁠" Landström, and f0rest, whom DBLTAP believed to be joining up with Håkon "⁠hallzerk⁠" Fjærli under the American organization back in November.

The last player of that team is reportedly another former Ninjas in Pyjamas member, Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund, who left the Swedish organization in September, which will result in a reunion of four out of five players of the legendary roster that went 87-0 in 2012-2013.

f0rest's move will mark the end of a seven-and-a-half-years long tenure

The gap left in Ninjas in Pyjamas by the 31-year-old's departure is set to be filled by 22-year-old Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson, who had been linked with a move to fnatic late last year but remained a part of GamerLegion, after all.

Meanwhile, William "⁠draken⁠" Sundin, who was seen standing in for GamerLegion in November at Forge of Masters Season 2 Finals, is believed to be joining the Swedish side on a full-time basis as a replacement for nawwk.

With the three moves, Dignitas', Ninjas in Pyjamas's and GamerLegion's respective lineups would look as follows:

+1 Yea this is most likely "do it for fun" with good ol friends just having a good laugh n such without dragging other teammates down in the process except poor hallzerk :') in this case. Maybe they can win a low-tier Dreamhack event without top teams in it here and there. Nah. Hallzerk is a beast f0rest is obv very good. GTR is alright actually. Friberg is 50-50, he could be very good in lots of matches and then just horrible in lots of matches. Xizt is meh. Didnt you notice the diference in his play when he stoped being awper? Tbh I have so much faith in this dignitas lineup. Those 4 former NiP players have been great friends for a long time now, they've got the chemistry, espeically GTR and f0rest. They'll feel very comfortable around each other which means they'll only be pressured by the matches but not by trying to fit in with their new teammates. Every single one of them have been moved to different teams after the OG NiP was "disbanded" and I feel like they couldn't get the condifence they needed around those new faces in their new teams and that showed on their performance. f0rest was the only one who could stay fairly consistent. I've never seen hallzerk play but with a 1.10 rating I am convinced that this team is gonna be in the top 10 in 2020. Or at least win a few titles. And yeah we all know that they have like 2 years till they retire but that's why I think they're gonna go all-in on this one.

Dignitas made a team with two of the most legendary players to ever play CS, then two more that are very known and somewhat iconic (King of Banana ice cream) players. And a Norwegian. Overall great players to make good PR for your organization. I for one think it is good move on Dignitas part and the players who are past their prime. Will be profitable for all parties, by just staying relevant they can keep selling merchandise, play in tournaments for exposure and meeting fans. I think this team can make quarter finals in some top tier events and definitely make finals in 2nd/3rd tier events. This is probably fine for both the organisation and players, anything more would be overreaching and a bonus/cherry on the top. I am happy for the guys getting back togheter, hopefully with reborn passion after all the NiP drama. Will be awesome just watching them play and laugh.

ah I understand this decision to take a step back play with your old mates when it was the most fun and sure if you dont make top5 or top10 you'll still be earning money playing the game you love, still being a daddy and having fun with the old crew. Good move mate! Although f0rrest I believe you where still in the running for a title if you joined another good team, perhaps mouz, perhaps faze, perhaps fnatic but their rosters seemed filled. so on a carrier personal level the formation of this new team may not come at the best of times. w0t you gonne do right? it comes at the best of times for the other 3 classic nip players and perhaps it comes at the best of times concerning other things in your life mate. It may not be ideal but it certainly is a realistic move. Fun to see good people under the dignitas banner to rode for once again! :) and perhaps you guys will do an upset here and there. I hate to break it to everyone but this is a roster that's already failed multiple times over multiple years. It's only going to get worse. This team is going to end up being VP. I don't buy that love for the game shit either. Why would Forest and particularly Get Right two dudes who are done tarnish their legacy further? Friberg could play in a team though. Shame no one ever gave him a real second chance anywhere in 2018.
