New Identity duo join forces with Swole Patrol

Former Singularity members Skyler "⁠Relyks⁠" Weaver and Sebastian "⁠seb⁠" Bucki have linked up with a trio of Swole Patrol players, in a move that was first reported by Dust2.us.

Swole Patrol were left with two players, Braxton "⁠swag⁠" Pierce and Jason "⁠neptune⁠" Tran, after a lacklustre ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas campaign that saw them finish last in their group. The ex-Singularity roster fared no better during their own first group stage effort, but were offered a second opportunity to compete after Complexity were deemed ineligible to play after changes to their roster.

Although Singularity came second to ATK in their second group stage appearance, both them and Swole Patrol were among a number of teams removed from ESL Pro League at the start of the year after the tournament organizer condensed the overall number of teams in the league from 48 to 24. Not long after, the Singularity organization announced that they would release their North American roster, leaving the team to compete under the New Identity tag.

Relyks and seb have linked up with a trio of Swole Patrol players

Prior to their release, Relyks and company had been competing with Shahzeb "⁠ShahZaM⁠" Khan, Hunter "⁠SicK⁠" Mims, and Kaleb "⁠moose⁠" Jayne as stand-ins for a handful of qualifiers and WINNERS League Season 3 Invite, with all three players having since gone in their own separate directions. Swole Patrol, meanwhile, had added Jake "⁠kaboose⁠" McDonald and enlisted the help of Yassine "⁠Subroza⁠" Taoufik and Matthew "⁠WARDELL⁠" Yu in their own WINNERS League Season 3 Invite effort, with the Canadian duo having since departed to form Orgless alongside former Riot Squad in-game leader Pujan "⁠FNS⁠" Mehta.

With both teams needing new players, Relyks and seb have elected to join forces with the remaining Swole Patrol trio, leaving Michael "⁠dapr⁠" Gulino and Will "⁠dazzLe⁠" Loafman as the only remaining members on the New Identity ESEA roster. Alongside Relyks and seb, former Singularity manager Jeremy "Jeremy9000" Gray will also be brought on board.

For now, HLTV.org knows that swag and company will play under the tag of Swole Identity while they decide upon an official name for their squad. The team intends to play in the current season of ESEA MDL, and have received an invite to compete in the FLASHPOINT North America closed qualifer, which will run from February 14-16 with two spots at the global LAN qualifier on offer.

You do realize that Swag and the other idiots that got banned will never be able to play for Valve sponsored events right? Meaning ZERO majors, meaning other teams don't find a point in having him on. Hes lucky that he got unbanned by some of the other orgs, but getting banned from valve is like getting banned from the UFC if youre a MMA fighter.

Ever since swag tried to take on the IGL role himself, the team has been dying. His fragging is not good and his leading is even worse.

Also this, they should have gotten a proper IGL. Should have snatched FNS when Swole was actually relevant, no chance now. Skyler does have had some IGL experience in eUnited if I remember correctly, maybe he could take over.

Yeah, Relyks is alright. eUnited was pretty good under him and hes also not a bad fragger. But like #57 said, it wont matter with dead weights kaboose and neptune on the team.

Kaboose needs to go. He has not done anything even in MDL, which is the lowest of the low. I also don't see what point neptune has here, seb could play support role and neptune doesn't have enough skill or talent to be some star rifle.
