BIG, Chaos through to FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier semi-finals

BIG and Chaos prevailed in the second day of the FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier to advance to the semi-finals, where they will take on HAVU and Orgless, respectively, for spots in the inaugural season of FLASHPOINT.

The second day of the FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier kicked off with a Group A elimination match between BIG and AVEZ, where the German side were able to come out on top of a two-map affair thanks in part to a stellar showing from Florian "syrsoN" Rische early on in the series.

BIG's victory set up a tantalizing rematch between Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz's troops and the Brazilians of DETONA, who had upset the German side in their best-of-one opening match on day one before falling 0-2 in their winners' match to Orgless. BIG refused to grant Vinicius "vsm" Moreira and company the room to upset them once again as this time they remained in firm control throughout the series, excelling on the offense of both Inferno and Mirage to take the win in two maps.

BIG will face off against HAVU for a spot in FLASHPOINT

The second Brazilian team in attendance, Redemption POA, also had their hopes of qualifying for the inaugural season of FLASHPOINT swiftly dashed in an all-American clash that saw Joshua "steel" Nissan's Chaos secure a pair of one-sided victories on Overpass and Inferno. Strong form from Owen "smooya" Butterfield in that opening series continued into Chaos' Group B decider against Copenhagen Flames, with the two teams trading wins on Mirage and Nuke before an assertive offense on Inferno from Chaos helped guide the team to a 16-2 victory, granting steel and company a spot in the semi-finals.

Following the conclusion of the group stage, the four teams that will compete in the playoffs of the FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier have been determined, with the final day of play set to resume at 18:00 . The winners of the semi-final matches will be granted spots in the league, where they will join ten franchise partners.

True, I like infinite tho :/. I think he is insane player and he just needs to constantly work on his attitude.

I like Infinite and FNS. I don't like Wardell Subroza and Yay. I think those 3 are what makes orgless a hard team to like. On the other hand though you have Steel Smooya and Vanity (I can't believe I used to advocate this kid as an igl he's so brain-dead)

Kinda sad considering how much talent/work went into this for no hype lol. At least BIG should qualify, which will be nice to see

I‘d rather see BIG in EPL to be honest, this league is no real competition and will most likely not help them grow and develop

True, but BIG hasn't won anything in a while - it will be nice to build up their confidence and not get stomped by the top teams, at least for one season

big avez had like 10k actually when maps went on a bit but some other games had way less I think. That said, why'd people watch this league qualifier, even league's lineup itself is totally devoid of any actual top teams as sad as it is, surely most people just don't find team list that interesting so viewing numbers will be relatively low, not to mention a lot of people don't even know their twitch channel and do not follow it, making numbers even lower.

Well gents, about the only thing the flashpoint qualifiers have shown us is some exceptionally mediocre cs. Not looking forward to the league I think it's going to be very disappointing. The only teams worth watching are gen.g Cloud9 and Dig.

I dont know why everybody is so negative about FlashPoint, its a great chance for lower teams to try to improve and evolve to being a t1 team, there are a lot of people who follow t3-t5 scene
