SicK to step in for Chaos in Flashpoint 1

Hunter "⁠SicK⁠" Mims will play for Chaos in Flashpoint 1 as a replacement for Ben "⁠ben1337⁠" Smith, according to a report from Dust2.us.

The roster move was already hinted at by Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield during the group selection process, which saw Chaos paired with Gen.G, Envy and MIBR in Group B.

ben1337 becomes the third player to leave the Chaos line-up since the organisation signed the roster known as Ben's Anime Team, in November. Gage "⁠Infinite⁠" Green left the team in early January and was replaced by smooya, while Maxim "⁠wippie⁠" Shepelev was released later that month, with Anthony "⁠vanity⁠" Malaspina being signed in his stead.

SicK has been added to the Chaos roster for Flashpoint

SicK has been without a team since October, when he was released by Complexity after seven months on the organisation's books. He most recently stood in for eUnited in the North American closed qualifier for Flashpoint 1, averaging a team-high 1.23 rating.

Going into Flashpoint 1, Chaos have the following roster:

This is a solid move considering vanity trends towards lurking/drop. Ben does the role as the bank/drop player, but he's not fragging enough, poorly trades, and weak support to the awp. His upside is he can massively improve his mechanics in few years and be passed development league with a new team. Sick is what they've needed since infinite left. Great move and hope it pays off for all players.

At the end of the day. It's the best shot the guys have. SicK may have not been the greatest but he's gonna be playing better than ben at the very least and the chemistry might actually be there if he's willing to learn from smooya and steel. So there's always potential. Who knows at the end of the day what will happen until tomorrow night
