MIBR beat Chaos to first place in Flashpoint Group B; Phase 1 complete

MIBR have secured first place in Group B at Flashpoint 1 after taking down Chaos in the group's final as the tournament's first phase is completed.

With the revenge victory against Chaos, who this time had to play with Logan "Voltage" Long instead of the visa-grounded Owen "smooya" Butterfield, the Brazilian side completed a successful comeback from their loss to Joshua "steel" Nissan's team in the opening round of the group stage.

They did so following the tournament's move to an online setting, after going on a dominant run through the lower bracket of the group dubbed Snakes & Ratters and defeating every other team in it; Envy, Gen.G, and Chaos.

The latest win sees MIBR make significant headway on the journey to the playoffs as they clinched the maximum number of points on offer by topping their group (75), completing the first phase of Flashpoint 1.

MIBR reach the second phase with 75 points on the board

In the rematch against Chaos, MIBR looked more than comfortable on their own pick, Overpass, where a great start on the offense led by Fernando "fer" Alvarenga and Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo allowed them to rack up a comfortable 10-5 half. The rampage continued after switching sides, with the Brazilians strolling to map point and closing the opening map 16-7.

A contentious map for MIBR historically, Inferno was mostly in the hands of Chaos, who despite losing a 2v4 in the first pistol round picked up a 6-2 lead as Terrorists. An AWP ace from FalleN salvaged the half and more of the in-game leader's plays helped equalize the scoreline at 11-11, but steel replied with a couple of big multikills of his own to push the series to the decider at 16-12, 1-1.

MIBR were back in cruise control on Dust2, however, kicking off the deciding map with a dominant run that saw them ride the momentum and secure a 12-3 half on the offense. Although Chaos still had life left in them and started off well upon switching sides, the effort was in vain as the Brazilians regained composure before things got dangerous and clinched the series win at 16-8, 2-1.

Dignitas holds 87-0 record and five major finals, but this doesn't mean they are a top team nowadays. Fallen played at top level in 2016 and 2017, now they suck, simple as that.

Chaos is a good team on Inferno. Maybe it´s their best map. In that map Chaos can face good teams.

Because Fallen doesn't know how to change the pace. Always slow plays, boring as f*, he should take some classes with art from Furia.

Yeah, fallen has this slow mentality to work on enemy mistakes but it's kinda boring indeed, it's like trying to copy astralis playstyle. this slow dancing from fallen was one of the reasons why lucas1 and cold left the roster. lucas1 was removed cuz his 'react playstyle' and cold even tried to be the igl sometimes with more fast plays. That's why, Art the playmaker ultimate goat of igling and awp freak will make furia top10 this year and mibr i don't know, i hope fallen can try new things without fear, but i understand his position, always safe trying to work on enemy's mistakes.

How can you spell this amount of shit in so fck little lines? MIBR copying Astralis? Have you born 2 years ago? Art is the reason why Furia doesnt have consistent results, he is always playing all in! I'm not defending 100% the MIBR style, but believe that a mix of MIBR and Furia is the ideal, that's exactly what MIBR is trying at all other maps but inferno. So the problem is not the Fallen mind about game, but the Fallen about inferno that i can totally agree it is out date. Dust 2 has shown very good fast round as Overpass, im quite satisfied about it!

i'm not Art, the playmaker all-in goat of br csgo. But i like his playstyle, even knowing that sometimes it not pays off. I was also a delusional mibr fan in the the past and i'm still cheers to this team win tournaments with good strats, but If you compare their gameplay in 2020 it's just like watch astralis 2018-2019. It's the boring cs all over again. Sometimes fer rush, yeah like dupreeh. I understand if you wait for enemy mistakes you'll have more chances to win but I believe Fallen and his crew may change their mindset sometime and adapt new playstyles. I like the way Fallen let players do plays by theyselves but it's kinda risky. Wich is different from Gla1ve, the top1 punchable face of csgo, i hate this guy but his gameplay it's clinical and boring, but clinical. Now with Zews getting out the org, maybe they can keep up with new ideas. In the end, we're just making achismos, mas torço pelos mlk!
