Swole Patrol stun Liquid in ESL Pro League North America

Swole Patrol have picked up their first victory at ESL Pro League Season 11 North America after beating Liquid on two maps.

Despite being by far the lowest-ranked side at in the North American division (currently 56th), the Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir-led squad has certainly made their presence known after coming in as a replacement for one of the teams who withdrew from the competition.

Although Swole Patrol lost their opening match to 100 Thieves on Thursday, they made the Australian team sweat in a three-map series before going on to secure a confident victory against the division's favorites, Liquid, to finish the first two days of the event with a 1-1 record.

Cooper- put on a show on Overpass

Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella's team initially looked in control on the offensive side of Vertigo, but the series quickly went sideways when Swole Patrol picked themselves up after a 0-5 start. By the end of the half, they had recovered with six rounds to their name and looked comfortable when sides switched, winning their pick 16-11.

Their dominance continued on Overpass, where they flew off the line with a 10-1 lead as CT on the back of a great combination from the Abadir duo. Picking up a 11-4 half in the end, Swole Patrol looked to close the series with ease when they converted a second-round forcebuy and a couple of clutches, including a 1v3 from Austin "⁠Cooper⁠" Abadir, and although Liquid made a valiant effort to come back, the series came to a close at 16-12, 2-0
