ESL One: Road to Rio tiebreakers adjusted *
ESL has revealed its updated tiebreaker matchups for ESL One: Road to Rio, with HellRaisers, TeamOne and EHOME unable to compete.
ESL has adjusted its Road to Rio tiebreaker matches for the CIS, South America, and Asia regions after a number of teams were forced to withdraw. With the tournament organisers primarily determining the participants through their placing in the Minor closed qualifiers, the next best-ranked teams in each region were invited to play the tiebreakers.

In the CIS, the original double-elimination bracket has been changed to a three-team round-robin group after HellRaisers were "unable to field a roster that meets the requirements of the tournament". according to ESL.
In South America, TeamOne were forced to withdraw from the regional division as a result of current travel restrictions, with paiN and Imperial set to compete in a best-of-three decider to determine which team will take the vacant spot.
Meanwhile, JiJieHao will directly replace EHOME in the Asia tiebreakers as the next best-ranked side from the China closed qualifier.
