The former North coach Torbjørn "⁠mithR⁠" Nyborg has linked up with Renegades for the upcoming Regional Major Ranking event, ESL One: Road to Rio - Oceania.

Christopher "⁠dexter⁠" Nong and co. have been coachless since the departure of Neil "⁠NeiL_M⁠" Murphy following the StarLadder Berlin Major, and have talked about their struggles with finding the perfect coach earlier this year. Ahead of the first Regional Major Ranking event, they have announced that mithR will be joining them in the servers.

The Danish coach will be helping out the Australian squad

mithR's coaching career started with Nicolai "⁠HUNDEN⁠" Petersen's ALTERNATE aTTaX, before he moved to North, where he was replaced by Jimmy "⁠Jumpy⁠" Berndtsson earlier this year. mithR's addition to Renegades was not confirmed as a long-term deal, with the ESL One: Road to Rio - Oceania serving as a test for their future cooperation.

The ESL One: Road to Rio - Oceania is a four-team, $10,000 online event which will take place on May 6-10, featuring a round-robin group stage leading into a single-elimination playoff.
