NiP overrun Dignitas in ESL One: Road to Rio

Dignitas were unable to put up a strong fight against the new Ninjas in Pyjamas roster, seeing Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson and co. pick up their second victory in ESL One: Road to Rio - Europe.

In the first meeting between the original NiP lineup, now representing Dignitas, and the new Ninjas in Pyjamas squad featuring the likes of Tim "nawwk" Jonasson and Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora, it was the young guns that secured a comprehensive 2-0 victory. The first half of Train was a fairly contested one, as Dignitas claimed six rounds on the T side, but after that, it was all about Lekr0's squad who won 23 of the next 30 rounds.

Lekr0 posted a 1.46 rating against the former Ninjas

Winning the first buy round on the Terrorist side of their map pick allowed Dignitas to challenge Ninjas in Pyjamas early, equalizing the score at 2-2 after a lost pistol. Lekr0 stood out for Ninjas in Pyjamas in the following round, locking down a B rush with a Famas triple to push his side ahead, 5-2, but Dignitas' A hits worked out and got them on the brink of equalizing, 5-4.

Fredrik "REZ" Sterner had a good game against his former teammates on the defensive side of the map, but neither squad was able to chain more than two rounds in a row for the rest of the half. Thankfully for Ninjas in Pyjamas, they claimed an eco in round 12 which saw them move to the offense 9-6 ahead.

With the USP-S, Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund claimed four kills on the second pistol round, giving Dignitas a chance to come back into the game, but all momentum was stolen away as Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli's 1v2 clutch attempt was denied by Plopski. After being 13-8 up, Dignitas claimed another round, but REZ replied with a triple before Lekr0 closed out Train with an aggressive AWP play in Popdog.

On Vertigo, both teams went all-in on the force buys early on, resulting in rounds being traded back and forth. Ninjas in Pyjamas ended up on top of that affair, pushing on to a 7-2 lead on the Terrorist side, before a 2v2 and a 2v1 went their way - allowing them to run away with the half.

Dignitas struggled for the rest of the defense, unable to secure a single round after the initial two, as Ninjas in Pyjamas found success at A, B, and Mid. nawwk added insult to injury in the second half pistol by taking down REZ in order to complete his ace, and Ninjas in Pyjamas were at match point shortly (15-2). From that point, a comeback was near-impossible, and the young Swedes closed it out 16-4.

you don't get it? He picked his best possible line-up members&friends to play his last period. Meaning, he chooses heartwarming loyalty over a minimum last success. Only by being around CS for 20 years you will understand that.

I feel authentically bad for him cause besides the talent he has, he is also a very good guy. My instict tells me that, it's not his performances or his status in cs scene that are influencing his self-esteem and confidence. In my perception, it is the real life that has given him some issues of complex and low-esteem and as a soft-hearted person as he seems, he carries all that in his game. I hope he gets mad and takes control of his "impact".
