MIBR player Ignacio "⁠meyern⁠" Meyer will act as a stand-in for TeamOne in Saturday's open qualifier for Mythic Cup 6, according to a report from Globo Esporte.

The news comes just days after HLTV.org and Globo Esporte reported that the Argentinian youngster was on his way out of MIBR's starting lineup to make way for Alencar "⁠trk⁠" Rossato, who has missed the last three ESEA MDL matches for TeamOne, allegedly due to Steam Guard issues.

meyern impressed during his time with Isurus and Sharks but hasn't been able to find the same form since joining MIBR in December 2019. He has averaged a 0.97 rating for the Brazilian giants, who have come under fire after a series of poor performances and results.

meyern will fill in for TeamOne, replacing trk

According to the report, negotiations over trk's transfer are still ongoing, with a deal understood to be close at hand. meyern has reportedly turned down a loan move to TeamOne but will still play for the team in the Mythic Cup qualifier and potentially on Sunday as well in the $2,000 online tournament should they qualify.

meyern is expected to be placed on MIBR's bench until he is transferred to another team. His situation draws parallels with that of João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos, who has been loaned out to three different teams since being benched by MIBR.

UPDATE: TeamOne were signed up for the qualifier but did not check in for unknown reasons. meyern has also left the Brazilian team's roster on the FACEIT platform.

he´s def not the root of their problems, but i mean if he´s not performing when the team most needs it then I´m totally ok with trying a new player. It´s not like 5 months is a short period of time for a team like MIBR that needs a big boost in their game, and Meyern, at least for the time being, was not it !!

Expected as i said its a good thing to Meyern after all. The pressure that he recieved and the lack of mentality and experience could slow down even more his development. He will back to mibr in one year probably and i expect him to substitute someone else.

Well, i wish they realise their real problem, felps and boltz got back at some point if u count LG and SK. And lucas1 i never thought that his function and playstyle fits in mibr, so it was more a bet that he would tape roles in the team.
