Chaos replace Bad News Bears in DreamHack Masters Spring NA

Chaos will replace the recently-disbanded Bad News Bears roster in the North American division of DreamHack Masters Spring, the tournament organizer has announced.

Joshua "⁠steel⁠" Nissan's troops will take the final spot in the $100,000 tournament following Tuesday's announcement of Bad News Bears' disbandment, joining Liquid, FURIA, and MIBR in a stacked Group A.

Chaos will have less than a week to prepare for their opening clash with Liquid and to fully integrate Jonathan "⁠Jonji⁠" Carey into their system, with the Canadian player having joined the roster on Tuesday in the aftermath of the departure of 16-year-old Nathan "⁠leaf⁠" Orf.

Kicking off on May 19, DreamHack Masters Spring North America will utilize a best-of-three round-robin group stage, eliminating two teams from the competition heading into the double-elimination playoffs. The winning team from each group will advance directly to the upper bracket, while the runner-ups and third-placed teams will begin their playoffs run in the lower bracket.
